The Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) is a council of subject matter experts from all aspects of hearing conservation and a leading source of information for the hearing conservation community. Our educational programs support and improve hearing conservation programs globally. CAOHC advances best practice in occupational hearing conservation worldwide, through credentialing, standards, education, and advocacy. Our vision is a world without occupational hearing loss. Our strategic goal includes advancing hearing conservation efforts and facilitating partnerships with similar like-minded organizations outside of the Americas, by engaging with and leveraging our expertise and tools worldwide.
We encourage everyone to visit our booth and look forward to meeting and discussing with you opportunities in Occupational Hearing Conservation.
In our presentation we will introduce CAOHC and propose/discuss the best practice of Hearing Protection Fit Testing (HPFT) and its integration into a holistic and effective Hearing Conservation Program. We will describe the training curriculum for individuals conducting HPFT as developed by CAOHC, identify the primary methods for performing HPFT and discuss the challenges and opportunities in implementing HPFT.
